My Appointment

Went to my Doctor appointment today and found this on the door.....

Apparently my Doctor decided that today was a great day to close the clinic. Now I have to reschedule.

Hours spent lying on my back with my foot propped up: Too many to count

Estimated calories consumed today: gazillions I'm sure

Dr. Hottie

So, tomorrow I have an appointment with the family doctor whom I've dubbed Dr. Hottie. He doesn't look anything like McSteamy here but he's hot in his own way. I just thought that since I have an appointment with a hot Doctor then I would post a picture of a hot doctor.

Hopefully tomorrow he'll give me a better idea of what's wrong with my ankle, the doctor at the Emergency room was stretched a bit thin and didn't spend much time telling me restrictions or what not. So I really don't have any idea when I should go back to work or if I could be working now.

Plus I've developed a very sharp pain in my ankle when I put pressure on it which I'm sure is not a good thing.

Grrr.... I hate having things wrong with me.

I'm so into setting fashion trends

So, this is my newest fashion accessory. *sigh* I was at work last night and being such a nice person I volunteered to bring the garbage out. See what I get for being nice? I slipped on the ice and sprained my ankle. Three hours later I wheel myself out of the emergency room and I'm now equipped with the latest in medical fashion. These sorts of things always happen to me, lol.

Hi all (coughannieaough),

Just wanted to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Christmas was great this year, lots of family stuff going on. I didn't work at all over the holidays but I'm going back this afternoon. It was nice to have the time off. Spent most of Christmas day at my house and my sisters. We went to her house first at about 6:00am to watch them open their presents, then we came back to my place and opened our presents up here, then we went back to her place at 10:30am where we gave them their presents from us. Being a 'cool' aunt I gave my nephew this:

He was super excited. The rest of the day we spent in a chocolate and turkey induced coma. We played some games watched a movie and generally just relaxed. It was nice.

Boxing day we did some light cleaning and then started to get ready for company. Now, when someone tells you Dinner is at 5:30, what time would you show up? Me? I would be there about anywhere between four thirty and five. *sigh* They never showed up until 6:30. A full hour late. Anyway, it was a disaster, dinner was cold by that point. Oh well, went with the flow and made a joke out of then reheated everything in the microwave. Next year I'm telling them Dinner is at 5:00 and not having it cooked until 6:00. Hopefully they won't be late then.

Today I'm back to work and waiting for New Years. No big plans since I'm working New Years Eve and New Years Day. Just spending it with the family. Anyway, I'm too cheap to go out New Year's Eve.

Grrrrrrrr.......

Failed my Psyc. class.... again. *sigh* This is the second time I've taken this course. The first time I took it was by distance, during the summer. Lets just say I'm not cut out for self-taught learning. I tried it again so that my failing mark would be expunged from my academic record.... no such luck. Oh well, I passed everything else so that's what's most important I guess.

Anyway, off to try and figure out how to post some cool pictures on my blog for Annie to look at, lol.

Friends.

I'm heading off to bed soon, but I wanted to post first about re-newing friendships. I love that sometimes there are just certain people that you mesh so well with, that even after it's been months since you've really talked, you can just pick up right where you left off before life got in the way.

Life often gets in the way of things. You've got school, family, kids (not mine), work and so on that it's sometimes hard to make time to stay in touch with the friends you've made over the years.

Tonight I reconnected with some friends that I haven't really talked to in a while and it kinda made me feel all warm and squishy inside, lol.

So, in lieu of this warm feeling that I have, I'm making an early New Years Resolution.... here it goes

"ahem.... this year I resolve to make more time to stay in touch with some of the best women that I've ever met" you girls know who you are and I thank each of you for the times you've helped me (sometimes even when you didn't know you were helping) and just for being there when I needed a good laugh or a shoulder to cry on. I thank God for the day you came into my life. It's a privilege knowing you all.

Exams and more exams!

The past week has been crazy. I've had my face in the books studying day and night but this morning I'm taking a break. Only two more left to go. This time tomorrow I will be almost finished my Psychology exam. Yay!

Anyway, after much thought and deliberation I've decided to change my major... to Anthropology. I am so excited. I'm very indecisive when it comes to the rest of my life, lol.

So, in order to graduate on time I'm taking five Arch. courses next semester. Forensic Anth. Historical Anth. Collections Mgmt. Native American Anth. and The Physical Animal. Whew! It's gonna be tough but I think I can handle it.

I must go get some last minute studying done for my exam this afternoon.

Snow snow and more snow!

So, I just turned off the Weather Network and they say that overnight Newfoundland's East coast is going to get bombarded with about 55Cm's of snow. Holy Shit! I can't say that I'm overly pleased with the idea but I'm thinking that if I'm snowbound that English paper that I've been putting off writing might get done... *sigh* I have no idea where to even start writing.
